Vern Schumann

Vern has been Short Track racing since 1957. In the 70’s he drove USAC Stock Cars. The last 25 yrs. he has been the owner and promoter of Hawkeye Raceway in Blue Grass, Iowa. After the Raceway Closed in 2006 Vern has traveled the Midwest , racing vintage cars for fun. In 2007 he was instrumental in the growth of our club. Driving his 6 cylinder 1935 Flat Back 2 door Sedan Ford he supported all our events and received the award for perfect attendance at our 1st Banquet Of Legends. Vern resides in Blue Grass Iowa.
